terribly Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Greetings all. Running AutoCAD LT 2006 and I'm trying to place vertical dimensions and have the dimension centered on top of the dim line itself. I've tried just about everything, and the only thing that's worked has been to "Move text separately" and then draw in a leader, which is time consuming and ugly. Can anyone please help? See attached picture, if that'll help! Thanks, terribly Quote
ReMark Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 That's a new one on me. I can't say for sure you can do that using any dimension style variables I am familiar with. What field do you work in? Would this be considered a normal drafting standard? Quote
deziree Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 In Dimension Settings under the "Fit" tab there is one that says text placement.... If you choose "over dimension line, with leader" does that help? (Not sure if that is what you are doing for the one you don't want but thought I would ask) Quote
Strix Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 if that doesn't do it there's a SETVAR called DIMTAD which may be affecting it I know it affects how leaders behave Quote
