Jawo Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 (edited) Hello you all I am so frustrated about one thing that has been changed in the newest version (2013) Before, in PL command, 2D, I could point my marker at one snap point on a line for example, then I drag my marker to one direction towards where I want the Polyline to start. I write in an number (ex. 1000 mm) for the distance from the snap point, and ENTER it. The polyline starts now 1000 mm from the snap point I chose. NOWADAYS it attaches in an RANDOM, and for me, inappropriate place on the current drawing when I ENTER the distance Is it some settings I have to change to get this as it was in the 2012 version? I am a terrible explainer, so ask if you don't get it. I will marry the one, or those, who can help me with this, I bought some fantastic rings for us. JD Mather Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Attach file here that exhibits this behavior. Do you have Parametric Constraints turned on? Quote
Jawo Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 I'm sorry, I can't find where to check whether the Parametric Constraints are turned on or off Quote
Dadgad Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 A very generous offer, to be sure, but I am more interested in helping people with the software than getting married, as my wife might not understand. Try hitting F11 to turn on your Object Tracking, or as shown in the image you can click on the indicated icon. Quote

Personally, I find leaving just AutoSNAP 2D and Ortho On are the most useful, though this is down to opinion. Quote
Jawo Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 I was actually aware of that Object Snap Tracking would have something to to with my problem. I looked more into the Object Snap Tracking SETTINGS (or Dynamic Input) when Dadgad mentioned it, and turned off and on the "Enable dimension input when possible" option. AND THEN when I closed the setting box, like a miracle from the almighty AutoGod, it was working. This was obviously something that was just.. stuck. Thank you for your help, guys! Now I can happily go on with my interior project : D Quote
PotGuy Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Glad to hear it was solved. Happy designing! Quote
