moniker Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I am having a problem with some dimensions in a drawing. I have a 2D representation of my 3D model (using FLATSHOT) in my model space. I added the dimensions in a custom UCS and everything looks fine in paper space when looking at the TOP view but in model space I notice that the text is offset on the z-axis by a very large amount, like 7 meters large (I'm working in mm). Any idea how to fix the offset and get the text on the same plane as the line work? Quote
rkent Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 The dimension line is ok and it is just the text that is offset? Quote
moniker Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 No, the dimension line is offset as well. The black things at the bottom are the dimensions and they should line up with the blue/gray lines at the top. Let me know if the pic is too small. Quote
rkent Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 You have to move the UCS to the plane you want the dim to be aligned with, then apply the dims. Quote
moniker Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 That makes sense. Geez, I always miss the little stuff. Thank you, sir, problem fixed. Quote
JD Mather Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I am having a problem with some dimensions in a drawing. I have a 2D representation of my 3D model (using FLATSHOT) ... Is there a reason you aren't using viewbase in paperspace. Quote
moniker Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Yes, because I'm not familiar with it, but I will definitely look into it. Thanks! Quote
