stopandgo Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Hello I am using ACAD-2007, and am trying to plot my DWG as an "intelligent" PDF which preserves the drawing's layers, so that they can be switched on/off within the PDF using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional's Layer View. Problem is, when I plot the file PDF, I open up Adobe's Layer View pane, and no layers are there. Even starting a basic .dwg from scratch, the layers are not converting. And yes, I am using the standard dwg to pdf.pc3 (however, since it's v2007 there is no option to toggle "Include Layers" in the plot). Any ideas how to make this work? Quote
Murph_map Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Upgrade to a newer version of AutoCAD. Or download and use Tru-View to plot to PDF> Quote
RobDraw Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 The option is not there because 2007 isn't capable of creating layered PDFs. Unfortunatly, Murph's solutions are the way to go. Quote
stopandgo Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 I suppose that solves the mystery. Thanks all. I'll try my hand at Tru-View. Quote
