UlyssesJones Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Thanks for your timely replies I really appreciate it! I submitted my project yesterday and I got a 100, very thankful for this topic and for all your input over the years to various people. Onto the next one! Im hoping to finish these projects within a couple weeks if they're not too involved. Quote
ReMark Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Congrats on achieving 100 on the Oleson Village project. Quote
ReMark Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 (edited) Holly... JohnH's last registered activity here at CADTutor was in June of 2019. He hasn't been heard from since. Everything you need to create the Oleson Village Project is contained in this very thread which includes verbal instructions and images. Edited December 20, 2024 by ReMark Quote

I was lost with what the project directed me to do. You made it make way more sense for what they were asking. You are entirely welcome. I wish you every success come the New Year. 1 Quote
Jake McCannon Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Just finished the project with the help of ReMark. He was EXTREMELY patient and helpful with the project. If one of the Penn Foster teachers tells you something is incorrect that ReMark has told you, double check with another teacher. I had a situation where he helped me with a Cul-de-sac and he was correct, while one of the other teachers were incorrect. I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to him with any questions or concerns you may have. Quote
ReMark Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Thank you for your kind words, Jake. I wish you every success in the future. Quote
Ztrain Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Is there a way to put in all 65 trees or 13 to be removed trees and 52 trees faster than inputting all the coordinates manually? And is there a way to name them or rather number them individually? Like so much in this project we never learned to do this in the "curriculum." That we paid for. Quote
ReMark Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I suppose you could do it using a script but that is probably something that wasn't covered in the P-F AutoCAD course. Other than that, using cut/paste for the coordinates will work when placing each tree. I don't believe the instructions call for numbering or naming each tree. Quote
Kayy Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Hi remark I’m trying to follow you directions but when but in @113.66<N5d27'23"W but it’s not doing anything can you help my please? Quote
ReMark Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Kayy: Are you zoomed in enough to even view the line you are trying to create? Quote
Kayy Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hi @ReMark I got lol I didn’t expect for the line to be so small. I followed your instructions and I’m stuck on where to start Quote
ReMark Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Once you have created the line from the benchmark to the lower left-hand corner of the subdivision it is time to create the subdivision boundary lines using the information provided in your instructions. The boundary lines are created in a counterclockwise direction, starting at the end of the previously constructed line, in the following order: east, north, west and finally the south. Quote
Kayy Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Ok thank you so much for your help I found the rest of your directions in 2012. I been so stressed with this project I wanted to give up. But I got back on it and I’m very glad I found you it as helped so much thank you again @ReMark Quote
ReMark Posted March 1 Posted March 1 You start the OFFSET command, input the offset distance then choose the line you wish to offset by specifying which side to offset it to. I will be unavailable after this post. I am going out for the evening. If you have further questions I will attempt to answer them in the morning. BTW... where are you located? Quote
Kayy Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Ok no worries, VA and I’m trying to figure where and the length of the road I drew the center line but I’m stuck. Quote
ReMark Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) In the image above the centerline for the road with the cul-de-sac should end at the center of the circle. And the two centerlines at the bottom and right should come to a point not an angle. BTW... I am in South Carolina. Edited March 1 by ReMark Quote
Kayy Posted March 1 Posted March 1 The road you made is that a measurement we have to figure out on our own? Quote
Kayy Posted March 1 Posted March 1 This road that you drew is it measurements we have to figure out? Quote
ReMark Posted March 2 Posted March 2 No. The student is given the bearing and distance of the two lines that make up the centerline. Quote
