Can Solidworks nor Solidedge create a flat pattern like sheet metal dev

Hi,

 

I have a query on Solidworks nor Solidedge.

 

Does it has a capability to do a pattern like sheet metal dev. do? From 3D Elbow to a flat pattern (see attach image for clearer pics)

Solidworks doesn't like curves on curves with sheet metal development. So I'd say it wouldn't be able to develop an elbow tube....Not unless they've changed things in 2013.

 

However I have used it for multiple kits and even had the guys as Solid Solutions write a macro for me to develop entire multi-body sheet metal parts in to one drawing file of flat patterns. It just depends on what you're trying to flatten.
