rkent Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Are there objects in the template or is it blank with only settings, layer names, etc. Quote

rkent Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 So start a new drawing using the proper template, then copy and paste from the first drawing into the new drawing. Quote

Organic Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I was able to copy it fine into the template. If you are talking about getting the split screen setup into the template, type VPORT when in the template model space and you can set it up from there. In paperspace you may need to adjust your viewports to a bigger scale (i.e. make the objects smaller) as they are not going to fit on the sheet. Quote

sean214 Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 that worked...now how do i get it to show the three views: right, front and isometric...i only see top Insert current drawing into the correct template as a block. Quote
ReMark Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 You may have to use the SECTIONPLANE command if you want to generate all three views from one solid model. Quote
sean214 Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 alright i will try and see where i get Quote
ReMark Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) Although it appears you went through the trouble of creating a 3D solid model of the cut-away view. I tried using View Base and the two solid models you created (after putting one of them on its own layer) but I did not get the expected results. Almost but not quite. So I would not recommend that as a viable method. Edited December 4, 2012 by ReMark Quote
