ReMark
You could try setting the Isolines system variable to something higher. The range is 0 to 2047. The default is 4. You'll have to redo your wineglass though as the setting, even with a regen, won't affect what you have already.
ReMark
Was the wineglass created using a mesh? If so, the variables Surftab1 and Surftab2 should probably be increased as well. I think the default is 6 in both the M and N directions.
shift1313
it looks like you created it using REVSURF. If you draw your 2d cross section as a closed polyline and use revolve, the command above that remark stated will change how the object appears on your screen, facetres will change how it renders. Since you created a surface you will need to redo this and change the surftab1 and 2 like remark said. I would say 20 to 30 should be a good number for this object. here is a glass i just did using your shape as a reference. this is a surface using surftab1 = 30 and surftab2 = 30, shapes created with revsurf. depending on what you need to do with this glass it would probably be beneficial to play around with different surftab setting and making this a solid and surface. glasshelp.dwg
ReMark
shift beat me to it. I was going to ask what command you used to create your wineglass. I too did a wine glass but I took a different approach by creating a profile and then revolving it. I call mine a wine flute (a tall narrow wine glass). Isolines=20. Surftab1 and 2 both set to 20 as well. wineflute1.dwg
shift1313
remark, its possible he used revolve, but his profile was a single spline so it wouldnt create a solid that way. but it was definately a surface. remark, since your flute is a solid, to surftab1 and 2 do anything for you? I thought it only worked for revsurf and edgesurf commands and meshes? berd Viewres is the resolution in your current viewport. Im not sure what the max is but i know you can go up to 1000, never gone over that. Facetres is a relationship between the viewres and the tessellation, or small squares. you can set this from 0.01 to 10.
ReMark
shift: Yep, surftab1 and 2 really have no impact. Viewres value range is 0 to 20,000. I tend to use 5,000. I think the OP has it set at 1,000.
