lioncub99
I have created an attribute say 1 and made a circle and moved the attribute text next to the circle and now making a block including both text and circle but when the block is created the text disappears I have made sure to check the annotation on in both attribute and block creation. This is just happening in Autocad Map 3D 2012. Dont know why the text disappears but when i explode the block it is back.
ReMark
Did you elect to make the attribute invisible when you created the block?
lioncub99
no i want it to be visible
ReMark
Attach a copy of the DWG file to your next post. Make sure it includes the block you created. What's the name of your block? Have you successfully created attributed blocks in the past?

ReMark
Alright. Have you created attributed blocks in the past with no problem?
lioncub99
Yes I have in acad 2010 i made a script that would read from a coma delimited text file and place a block with text but now it wont work as when i create a block the attached text attribute disappears
ReMark
I think you mistakenly created the attribute and set it to Invisible. That would explain why it does not appear in your block when it is inserted but does appear when it is exploded. My advice: recreate your block. lioncub99
Thanks but how do you set it viable or invisible the attribute? Please bear with me as i am very new
dbroada
What happens if you double click the circle? If you have made the block correctly you should now get an attribute entry dialogue box where you can type in your text.
ReMark
To make an attribute invisible you would have had to check off the box indicated above.
