Excalibur Shane Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Good afternoon, I have drawn a black horizontal line 100mm long. Under that line a have a 100mm line coloured blue. How do I select the blue line? In AutoCAD 2000 I would hold down ctrl and select the line. Then scroll using the mouse pressing right click to select. I am currently using AutoCad2011. This function does not work. Help would be appreciated. Quote
the ber Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 This from the AutoCAD LT online user's guide. "If selection preview is turned on, you can cycle through the objects by rolling over the object on top to highlight it, or you can press and hold Shift and then press the Spacebar. When the required object is highlighted, left-click to select it. If selection preview is turned off, hold down Shift and Spacebar at a Select Objects prompt while you left-click to cycle through the objects until the one you want is highlighted, and then press Enter . Press Esc to turn off cycling." Quote
Dadgad Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) You can also enter CTRL+W at the commandline, to turn on SELECTION CYCLING, or toggle on and off at the icon, as shown in the image. The software will make an assumption, as to your selection intent, and that will be highlighted with blue as on the first image. If the entity which is highlighted is the correct one, just hit enter, otherwise select the one you intended from the selection list. Edited November 12, 2012 by Dadgad Quote
Dana W Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Draw order. Send the top line to the back, then select. Quote
