wildsurf Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Hello guys, I am quite new to 3D modeling & rendering. I did a simple 3d model of a standing unit, but once i clicked on render, only a black screen appeared. I did try to put a point light and increase its intensity but the model can barely be seen. I also created a new camera and clicked render but to no avail. Hope that it isn't a memory issue though. Hope you guys can help me out and sorry as I am new to this. Thank you all in advance! Titi95 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Hello when a black screen is there aa no light Here are some tips: I took your file I changed the unit to enter international. I've been seen in perspective, I turned the sun. I turned the sky with illumination. I added additional lights (in the window) I added 2 texture (glass and marble) and an object in the window (wooden car) Changing your file and made 5min (Sorry for my broken English) This seal your modified file (without the car because file too large) Drawing.dwgFetching info... tzframpton Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Good example Titi95... and you are correct: Got to have lights to render a model. Here is an old tip I made back in 2009.... after you have some lights in, this could help you out in some easy quick render techniques: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?35688-3D-AutoCAD-Render-Tip-Quick-settings-with-great-results Hope this helps.
