KTS Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I would help with how i can present a 3 storey building design using the project browser i.e start a project with constructs, elements. views and present it. Thanks for any help received Quote
tzframpton Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Simply define your Levels first. Once this is complete, you can then create Constructs, which are basically DWG files that are assigned to whatever level you choose. Read up in the Help file about the concepts of drawing management using AutoCAD Architecture here, to make better sense of everything: http://exchange.autodesk.com/autocadarchitecture/enu/online-help/search#WScedd0d2069f889345e3974fa25667833-8000.htm Basically, after you input your levels, you will be mostly creating and using Constructs. Depending on your project, you might want to have the Constructs divided up like XREFs (RCP, Interior Walls, Furniture Layout, etc). To make it easy for now, just keep everything on one Construct. Or, do this if it's a small project. Views is simply a way of gathering the Constructs (aka XREFs) of your choice that will be prepped for your Sheets. Sheets, well... self explanatory. See "Sheet Set Manager". That's all it is, with a little extra tools. I will say, Project Navigator was very difficult to wrap my head around at first. I kept at it and it eventually made a lot of sense. But I will always admit that if you're curious about this type of intuitive design and workflow, then Revit is something to look into since the Project Navigator got it's concept from Revit. Quote

Currahee Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Hi, once again. Can someone p'se write for me a step by step procedure on how i can see and print a 3d view of a project in autoacad architecture. I can do the constructs and divisions but am having trouble with my views Thanks in advance Well there is a simple and a hard way. The easy one is to make you a Paper Space view in the orientation and shade you want it then plot it. Or if you are doing it within your project you will have to go thru project navigator; making a construct drawing into a view then turning it into one of your sheet sets with you figuration, i.e. 3d, general, elevation, section..etc then plot your particular sheet. It would take me all day to type it out step by step. Best thing to do is go to WikiHelp and download a tutorial. Hope this helps Quote
KTS Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Thanks Taylor, Doing it the hard way and slowly get to grips with it:) Quote
