Best way to create a sliced/cutout view?

What is the best way to crate a view likein this picture,

The only ways that I can think of is 1-drawing a box in that quarter and subtract from other items. ( that turns all the individual items into one

2 -slicing twice in centre and deleting the quarter and union

Like to know the best way to do it

SectionPlane command...Live Sectioning.

I tried Sectionplane on a basic solid and can't get the same result, i.e cutting 1/4 off to show the centre

Then try slicing with a surface. Easy enough to do.

A simple example. I used the SLICE command and the Surface option.

So, I assume that you put the sliced part on a different layer and freeze it

Another cutaway view showing the internal coil on a decanter. Sliced opened the decanter but left the coil in tact. Normally I do my cutaways on a copy and blow away what I don't need.
