hoss Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 What is the best way to crate a view likein this picture, The only ways that I can think of is 1-drawing a box in that quarter and subtract from other items. ( that turns all the individual items into one 2 -slicing twice in centre and deleting the quarter and union Like to know the best way to do it Quote
hoss Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 I tried Sectionplane on a basic solid and can't get the same result, i.e cutting 1/4 off to show the centre Thanks for you help anyway Quote
ReMark Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Then try slicing with a surface. Easy enough to do. Quote
ReMark Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 A simple example. I used the SLICE command and the Surface option. Quote
hoss Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 So, I assume that you put the sliced part on a different layer and freeze it Thanks dor your help Quote
ReMark Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Another cutaway view showing the internal coil on a decanter. Sliced opened the decanter but left the coil in tact. Normally I do my cutaways on a copy and blow away what I don't need. Quote
