knattagh Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Can I make an object like the one I drew and then adjust the lengths of its various faces to whatever values I like? If so can you point me in the right direction please? Thanks Quote

iainlines Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Presspull or if you want to go old school Extrude Faces Quote
knattagh Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 Yes I tried to push pull but I want to be able to know how long my faces are so I can push or pull the face exactly the distance I want. Thanks Quote
iainlines Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Take a dimension? If you drew it, don't you know how long the faces are? Sorry, just trying to understand Quote
Dadgad Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Welcome to the forum. Explore all of the controls which are circled in RED on the ribbon in the image, they could all come into play, depending on how you chose to do it. You may want to turn on your DYNAMIC INPUT too. PRESSPULL is great for fast and loose, pushing holes through pieces and such, but lacks the direct dimensional input that you are talking about. Quote
iainlines Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Good advice ^^^ Also, with Dadgad you always get a rather helpful image! :-) Quote

Thanks issue Presspull command pick a face then move your move, then enter the required press or pull distance Quote
JD Mather Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Ctrl select face, then.... Sounds like what you need first is Measure or ID or Viewbase and dimensions. Quote
