kay2809 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Hello everyone, sorry to bother you but I have been looking for this since a day and couldn't find something(or i guess i don't know how to search for the correct tags). The thing is that my dimension text is colored white and outlined with the cyan( the color I want to use it for). I have attached an image so that you can see. Please tell me how to remove this white and have some other color instead of that. I have gone through the forum. But i found some masked text, fill color etc topics. Thanks for your time and help. Again I'm sorry if this is a common question but i couldn't find the right tags to search for it. Quote
kay2809 Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Ring any bells? Hi ReMArk. I have seen that already and my current setting is set to fill color:none. When i choose a fill color it draws a box around the text. So that's not what i want. The color that i have chose (cyan) is appearing as an outline around the text. I just want the color cyan in place of white that you are seeing right now. Quote
ReMark Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Text Color doesn't do it for you? Works for me. Quote
kay2809 Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Text Color doesn't do it for you? Yes. No matter if i choose color: by layer or choose directly. The Text color is appearing as an outline to the white filled text. If you zoom in to my given image you will see the cyan outline around "90" . Quote
ReMark Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) Is that the Arial font you are using? Try as I might to reproduce your problem I can't. What happens if you change the text color in the Properties Palette? Edited September 13, 2012 by ReMark Quote
kay2809 Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Thanks for your time ReMark. I appreciate your help. I have found the problem. Its the view-port : Shades of gray causing that. I was drawing in 2D and 3D so i switched to shades of gray. But i didn't know it will cause something like that. This has also solved my other problem that was causing the output to be unexpected. But now when i switch to layout 1 or 2, Its causing the same thing with that. Are you familiar with this one? Quote
ReMark Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 "Shades of Gray" is a visual style. It is also an option in the Plot dialog box under the heading "Shaded viewport options > Shaded plot." Sorry, but I have not encountered the problem. Most likely that is because I rarely use "Shades of Gray" as a visual style or as a plot option. What does your dimension text look like if you use the 2Dwireframe visual style? I have to ask: I've never had the need to make my dimension text color something other than white. Are you doing this because you plot using a STB plot style? Quote

Thanks man, the shaded viewport option works as well for the output. And about your question, I have to submit my assignment for the course. And I have to 'FOLLOW' some rules. One of them is to have the dimensions in Cyan. I have to output it to the pdf file. Thanks for your time and help. Quote
kay2809 Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Welcome to the forum. Try this..... Thanks, this is for the plotting and rendering. I was getting problem in the viewport. And i don't know how it works. When I'm exporting to pdf, the text remains the same (filled), with the value set to '0'. And the output is same when its set to '1'. :\ . This is off the topic, but just wondering how it works. My problem is solved though . Thanks to everyone who replied. Quote
JD Mather Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I have seen something similar in 2013, but it prints out fine. I will try to post a screen shot of what I am seeing. Quote
