Veigas Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 So glad this resource is available. Those random times I can't figure something out on my own, you guys come to my rescue very quickly. I vote you change the name from cadtutor.net to cadgods.net! Quote
Dadgad Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 A nice tip of the hat, and sentiment for sure, but wouldn't that be selling all the forum Goddesses short? Quote
tzframpton Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I've been considered a "CAD God" a few times but I feel the same as your starting post.... this forum still proves useful even to those who are veterans around here. Quote
BlackBox Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I've always found CADTutor to be a great community, and have received much help thanks to the kindness of others... Perhaps one day, I'll be able to give something back. Quote

Same song, second verse. People here think I have this vast amount of knowledge about AutoCAD but actually, I come here (if I don't know the answer), and you kind folks help me help them. I even tell them where I find the information. I've always found CADTutor to be a great community, and have received much help thanks to the kindness of others... Perhaps one day, I'll be able to give something back. +1 Quote

JD Mather Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I just tell everybody, "I'm a bit busy right now, let me get back to you on that." Then go search and/or ask questions. Quote
tzframpton Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Haha, JD I do that a lot at work. Everyone calls me a guru at work but I am quick to inform them that Google is my best friend. Quote

BlackBox Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I certainly do not consider myself to be a guru (I'm just inquisitive )... But much to my disappointment, nobody at my work knows that I know, what I know. There are many factors that went into this, but ultimately, the situation I find myself in currently is what prompted me to take on a second (night) job, as a part-time software development consultant, working from home nights and weekends. Perhaps a full-time development position, or a company of my own is in the cards for me one day...? *wishful thinking* Quote
