meridian Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 by any chance does anyone have a .pat file of batt insulation i would appreciate it thanks, Quote
ReMark Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 A quick Internet search should turn up a number of batt insulation hatch files. Or try searching CT by using the word "insulation" as your search criteria. Quote
meridian Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 A quick Internet search should turn up a number of batt insulation hatch files. ReMark Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Where did you search? Never mind. Use the one in this thread from CADTutor. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?34348-Batt-Insulation-Hatch AutoCAD 2008....that means you could use this dynamic block version of batt insulation. http://www.cadforum.cz/catalog_en/?q=insulation+hatch Quote
meridian Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 yes i tried this one and it doesnt work. im trying to upload it to revit if that helps Quote
ReMark Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 What do you mean it doesn't work? Since your profile says AutoCAD 2012 I just assumed that the program you were working in. I know nothing about Revit. I assume however that a simple AutoCAD hatch pattern would work in Revit as well. Quote
meridian Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 im using both systems revit 2012 & autocad 2012....for this particular topic im trying to load the .pat file in revit so i can use it. i have used various .pat files in the past for both autodesk platforms so yes it does work but it doesnt work for the particular batt file u sent me too Quote
ReMark Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Did you follow the instructions contained within the thread I sent you to? Did you try the dynamic block version? Quote
meridian Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 dynamic block? there are no blocks in revit all i did was change the .txt file to a .pat file, that works and im actually able to load it in revit but in my preview screen and on plan it shows the lines out of whack Quote
ReMark Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Out of whack how? Did you adjust the scale factor as suggested in the last post of the thread you got the hatch from? Can you post an image? Quote
meridian Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 this is what i see, changing the scale makes it worse Quote
BIGAL Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Search a bit more here for Insulation theres also lisps for drawing insulation. Quote
SLW210 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I moved your thread to the Revit General forum. Quote
Lee Roy Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Revit has an insulation button (Annotate Tab -> Insulation). Try as you will, you will NOT get a batt insulation pattern to work as you want it to. Trust me, I've spent countless hours trying and there's not much in Revit that I cannot do. Quote
