IronHorse Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Have made a storage building as assembly. The new program NavisWorks should let you walk around in this building. I called our cad support but they said that all textures dissapear when you import to Navis? In my point of view that reduce the experience quiet much? Is It not any way to keep these? Quote
tzframpton Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 You can retain textures in Navisworks. There's an option to keep them, but then again I'm not using Inventor so I'm not 100% positive on how it works. AutoCAD and Revit works fine. You can even render in Navisworks, but for the best results I think Showcase will be a better application. Quote
JD Mather Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I have never used Navisworks or Revit, but with 2013 there are two different colors/textures libraries Inventor can use - the legacy type or the new Autodesk Appearance library that should be shared across all Autodesk products. Go to Tools >Appearance.... Quote
tzframpton Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Also note that you can still apply textures and materials once it's in Navisworks. Quote
