blibz69 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 hello im am a newbie and i was just wandering how do i cut a screw face of Philips head as a angle so it will be right with the bottom part i have attached 3 images below if you dont understand what i am trying to say please ask thanks Quote
Dadgad Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) Welcome to the forum. I just realized that you are doing this with INVENTOR, but you have posted your thread in the Autocad 3D Modelling forum, probably best to have posted it in the INVENTOR forum. If i were doing this in Autocad, I might OFFSET it, adjust the elevation and LOFT then subtract. No doubt INVENTOR will have a custom function for philips head slot relief. Be patient, somebody will be able to help you. Edited August 28, 2012 by Dadgad Quote
ReMark Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 (edited) I vote for the use of the LOFT command. For demonstration purposes only. No real dimensions were used in the creation of this object. JDM will probably find ten things wrong with this 3D model. LoL Edited August 28, 2012 by ReMark Quote
JD Mather Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Extrude with Taper. Your thread doesn't look correct. Quote
JD Mather Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Your sketch does not appear to be fully constrained. When you Edit Sketch - what does it say in lower right corner of screen? You might read this document http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/skillsusa%20university.pdf Quote
