How do I apply dash line over some of the lines and how can I apply different levels of gray to the lines?

A dashed line is a linetype. First you have to load the linetype. Do you know how to do that?

1. Select which line's you want dashed.

 

2. in drop down linetype menu click Other

 

 

3. When you get the dialogue box click Load

 

 

4. Select which type of dashed line you want

 

 

5. Click OK

 

6 Highlight Selected Linetype

 

 

7. Click OK.

 

(If linestyle not applied, click desired line again and just re-select the

dashed line now loaded into drop down linetype menu - if loaded and

selected and still not showing correctly check ltscale is set to 1)

Is it the color on the screen you're concerned with or color when plotting? On screen colors are handled through Layer Properties Manager (see skipso's screen shots). Just click on Color and select from the Index or True Color tabs.

Im not sure also if while drawing in CAD when you say greyscaling of lines, or during prinout. but for printing, greyscaling of lines is achieved in the plotstyle table manager.

Toggle a color you want to greyscale and adjust its screening to about 90 or less
