nyaromulo Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Hello all I want to fill out my alignment table with good stuff like "bearings, distances, deltas, radius and so on" The only way I know how to do get alignment report to use on my table is to: under Alignments menu>Edit Alignment Geometry.... -----On the Comand line: Select Alignment (I select alignment) -----"Alignment Layout Tools" appears under it -----I pick "Pick sub-entity" then -----"Alignment Layout Parameter" appears then i select a line or curve to get bearing/distance/radius and so on Is this the way to do it on Civil 3D? I believe there should be an easier away to get alignment report. (Inroads program does it pretty straight) Any help? thank you Quote
lpseifert Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Did you try Alignments > Add Tables? You can set up a table style unde Toolspace > Settings > Alignment > Table Styles Quote
nyaromulo Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 Yes I did, Table>Add Line 'Table Creation' dialog box appears. After i fill in the numbers of rows and colomns, then I pick "pick from drawing" On the command line it prompt: Select "alignment Lines': so i select alignment and oopps Comand line return "Nothing selected" I know, for sure, that i have selected the crazy alignment What am i doing wrong? That is why i was doing it the long way! By the way my alignment is a one element, is this the issue and if so how can i separate the alignment to have each element on it's own? Quote
lpseifert Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Before you can make an alignment table, you need to label the alignment first... Alignments > Add Alignments Labels > Add Alignments Labels Quote
rustysilo Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Would the Reports Manager help with this? General > Reports Manager (it opens in Toolspace) Quote
nyaromulo Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 Hello Ipserfert and Rustysilo, your ideas worked! I like the Alignments>Add Alignment Labels>Multiple Segment more because it creates a table automatically after I go to Alignments>Add tables>Add segments. It’s awesome! Thank you Quote
