ReMark Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) Are you looking to do something like this? Or are you looking to create a roof framing plan such as the one shown in this link: http://www.hajekassociates.com/old/stock/about/s2.htm Of course theat link just shows a 2D plan. Maybe you had it in mind to do a 3D framing plan? Edited September 24, 2012 by ReMark Quote

ReMark Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 To obtain something that looks like the image that I posted you do not have to create individual hip, valley, or jack rafters. In my opinion, for what you are trying to show that would be overkill. Quote

ReMark Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 sam: You do realize the original drawing is not the correct scale and the overhang is too much right? Quote

BIGAL Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 When you do a hide the roof and walls become solid very basic Autocad commands to make the roof profiles. The roofs do not have any frame work they are multiple pfaces drawn with 3d corners. Quote
