selection rectangle in Autocad 2007

Hello All,

I am using Autocad 2007 and when I want to select something by outlining it, the area that I outline turns a green color. Is there a way to toggle this feature off so that it does not change color, as in v 2000? Incidentally, what is this feature called?

Thank you,

The selection window is green if you are creating a crossing window from right to left.

A blue window is created when the mouse moves from left to right.

They do different things, and if you don't know what they do, and how they differ you should.

You can control the VISUAL EFFECT SETTINGS options thusly,

enter OPTIONS at your commandline > ENTER

click on the SELECTION tab to access display controls as shown in the image, which is not 2007, but

should be reasonably like what you will see.
