Help!!

I can't seem to find this online.

Anyone knows how to do this?

I have a drawing with a lot of lines, already, in autocad. Now I want to add tags to the drawing. Meaning, I create a shape, a rectangle and put some words in it. Now I want to paste the rectangle tag with the words over my many lines drawing. But I want whatever lines that gets into the rectange frame to get overlapped by black space in the rectangle.

Hope I can get help here :( If you understand what I mean. Its like pasting a sticker tag over my drawing. (Hope you can tell me what command to type )

THANK YOU!!

I suggest you create a MULTILEADER style to do this.

There are quite a few customizations available in the settings.

Create a new custom style starting from the STANDARD style, and take a few minutes to

consider and apply the options you like. :)

This style uses a SPLINE leader, which is just one of the numerous options available, look through each tab of the options so you can understand how great this can be.

If you select the Block option instead of the MTEXT option, there are quite a few useful ones.

When you are setting up the DEFAULT TEXT content for your new multileader style, if you click on the flyout arrow at the end of the text formatting bar (circled in red) you can specify that you want a mask added behind the text, and the color of that mask.

You can hatch your tag box with a true white colour (255,255,255). Personally, I prefer a slight off white colour of 254 to give my tags more presence in the drawing.
