Bogbadbob658 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Could someone recommend a good (& cheap) PDF to DWG converter program. I've tried PDF2CAD which worked reasonable well although it didn't seem to recognize text. Obviously I'm only trying to convert CAD generated pdf's. Any help would be much appreciated. Quote
ReMark Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 "Good and cheap". Those are two diametrically opposed conditions when it comes to PDF-to-DWG conversion programs. Quote

Bogbadbob658 Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 CAD-KAS PDF 2 DXF 2.0 http://www.cadkas.com Unless $50 is a lot... I've just given it a go. It's not bad for the money. Some of the other ones out there are a bit better but it will certainly do what I need it to do. Thanks for your help. Quote
Bogbadbob658 Posted October 9, 2012 Author Posted October 9, 2012 Thanks Nancy I'll give it a go. I have been trying out Print2CAD which is reasonable but I have trouble with the text. Quote

Tiger Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Apparently the PDF to DWG-business is a lucatrive business. Quote
BradHalvorson Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I am also looking at some options to convert PDF files to DWG or DXf format. AnyDWG software (http://anydwg.com) has a converter and the trial version allows a limited number of conversions, it converts PDF to DXF fomrat. AideCAD converter (http://www.aidecad.com) converts PDF to DXF format in batch. Adobe Acrobat (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html) has the copy graphics tool to copy the graphics to the clipboard. Adobe Illustrator (http://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator.html) that can save a PDF in DWG or DXF format. The free Ghostscript & GSView (http://www.ghostscript.com) can export PDF to DXF. Quote
