gerryc Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Hello, When moving the mouse over objects, the objects are automatically selected. Are there a way to disconnect that function, so the objects are not selected before I click the mouse? thanks, Gerry Quote
Dadgad Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Welcome to the forum. I believe you want to uncheck your IMPLIED WINDOWING, per the image attachment. Quote
gerryc Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 a) In "Option/Selection/Visual Effect Settings" I can change how the selection looks like, but can't not turn it off b) On the command line I selected "0" for the PICKFIRST and also tried "0" for PICKSTYLE, also without any luck regards, Gerry Quote
Dadgad Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 And did you turn OFF implied windowing on the SELECTION tab shown in the attachment? Select click and click as shown. Quote
gerryc Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 Yes it is off. Strange my screen looks different. Quote
Dadgad Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Not so strange, I am using 2012, might you prefer turning off the INDICATE SELECTION AREA? I am guessing that they are merely highlighting to indicate their inclusion in the selection window, I should think you would want that. Quote
Murph_map Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 You want the section named Selection Preview, uncheck the two boxes and explore the Visual Effect Settings. Quote
