David Bethel Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Is it me or is TenLinks very slow the last couple of days? -David Quote
Cad64 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Yes, very slow. When I'm moving around the forum I always see the message "Waiting for tenlinks.com" at the bottom of the screen as the page is slowly loading. Quote
BlackBox Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 1+ The site header, and ads show up quickly... It's the forum content that takes too long, IMO. Quote
CADTutor Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I am aware of this. TenLinks are currently implementing an upgrade to their servers and this issue should be resolved shortly. Quote
tzframpton Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Out of curiosity, what is the benefit of TenLinks.com? Quote
CADTutor Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Out of curiosity, what is the benefit of TenLinks.com? They provide this site (and others) with targeted advertising - the recent HP campaign for example. In principle, this should not degrade the performance of our site and I'm currently working with TenLinks to resolve the issue. Quote
ReMark Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Still seems to be a problem as of today (15-6-12 or 6-15-12 depending on which side of the pond one is on). At one point it took almost 30 minutes to access the site. It must be some upgrade! Quote
CADTutor Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 The new server is being tested this week and I have been told that we'll move over next week. In the meantime, I apologise for the inconvenience. Quote
ReMark Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Not your fault so no apology needed. As did others I thought it was my computer at work that was the source of the problem until I experienced the same thing on my home computer today. Started looking at the browser (Firefox) and even tried a couple of others (IE and Chrome) but when that did not solve the problem I figured it was something site related. Of course I'm nine dates late to the party given the first post was more than a week ago. My eyesight must be going or I need to remove my sunglasses while indoors. Quote
