Greetings everyone. I am using AutoCAD 2011. I want to add a few new scales in layout. The new scales are: 4"=1'-0" up to 5-3/4"=1'-0" in 1/4" increments. Unfortunately when I add the scales in scalelistedit while I'm in Layout, my drawing doesn't scale to any of the new scales. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Do you mean it doesn't change scale at all when you select the new scale, or it doesn't scale properly?

Sorry. No scaling of the object at all. But wait!! I see from your post something I hadn't noticed in mine. The paper units = drawing units. My reads 1 paper unit = 1 drawing unit. Should I be changing this myself to read what you have? I'll try that and post back results. Thanks.

Nestly. I am so glad you responded to my question. As a result of your visual post I can see why my custom scales did not work. All I needed to do was to make sure the boxes in paper units and drawings units represented the value I was creating the custom scale at. Your example was perfect. I entered my custom scales as shown in your example and now my drawings scales exactly to what I desire. Awesome help. Many thanks.

I'm glad the visual was helpful. :)
