stolypin Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 I have a little problem with trim in autocad 2012. After trimming some lines that cut through a circle there's a big gap between the circle and line, so there's no way i can create a polyline. How do I fix it? Some pics to illustrate the idea here is the figure w/o trimming Here it is after trimming And as you can see there is space between the lines. How can I get the line to connect to the circle? Quote
ReMark Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Did you want the line to "extend" to the circle? I think your use of the word "connect" is incorrect. Quote
MSasu Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 If the third picture is after TRIM operation between line and circle, there should be no gap - I suspect that that is just a visualization issue from the way AutoCAD is showing the arcs/circles. Try to call REGEN comamnd and see if is fixed. Quote
JD Mather Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Attach file here that exhibits this behavior (gap after trim). As indicated a Regen should show there is no problem Back to your original question - you can not polyline edit join those lines the circles without first trimming the circles to arcs. You might also want to look into geometry constraints like Coincident and (I assume) Tangent. (see the Parametric tab). Quote
