bachrock Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 How do I move point from one file to another in Civil 3d? Copy/Paste won't work. I need to import them to the second drawing somehow. Thanks. Quote
BIGAL Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Just isolate the layer and copy and paste, it works ! Quote
Tiger Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Copy/Paste have a history of not working in some cases. I don't think it has ever been fully resolved. Possible workarounds: INSERT the dwg with the points in them as a block and then explode the block (if needed). ATTACH the dwg with the points as a X-ref, bind it (if needed) and explode (if needed). If it is just One POINT - note down the coordinates on a piece of paper and transfer it manually. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Do you get any error messages when you try to Copy/Paste? What is on the command line? Quote
bachrock Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 Copy/Paste works does work in that in copies the points, but I was told the pasted points will no longer contain as much data. Quote
Emigrato Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Instead of usual Copy&Paste, try _COPYBASE and _PASTEORIG Quote
bachrock Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 I figured it out. Copy and paste actually works but then I need to do a conversion from there. Thanks. Quote
