dreamer Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 The objective is to create a view from interior looking out to the garden through the glass window. I imported a Background Image for the garden scene. Selected Sky Background & Illumination from the ribbon. But double-check at the Sun Property palatte, the Status is "Sky off". Hence I am not sure if the finished render is with the Sky Background & Illumination on or off. Any feedback please? Quote
CADTutor Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Check that you are in perspective view. If you are in a parallel view, the sky effects will be turned off and will not display. Quote
dreamer Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 Hello, CADTutor. Thanks for your response. I did have the view in parallel and I also test few more times. The problem remains. Quote
tzframpton Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 LIGHTINGUNITS needs to be a 1 or 2, not 0. Try that. Quote
Renato - BR Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Thanks for the explanation. It is a very simple tip but not easy to find. I think it's a good question WHY such setting is required. It's necessary just to start working with lightning. Otherwise there can be a mistake if you are in ISO view. It's a trap ! Regards Quote
tzframpton Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 LIGHTINGUNITS variable set to 1 or 2 enables Photometric Lighting, which renders as real-world lighting would. This gives you a realistic render. When set to zero, Photometric Lighting is not used and Sun & Sky will not be available. Quote
121madhu Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 first insert camera then click sky background its working k Quote
