laranjo123 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Why's that Whenever i'm at the stage of modelling my 3D models i can zoom them in. But When i try to save them . Sometimes i can't zoom them. ?.. What should i do. I tried regenerate but i't seems doesn't work. Also my autoregen is on..Tsk. Help guys. And also when i try to add models from other acad files i can't zoom them in either. Tsk darn it. Please help me out.. I can zoom them but the zooming that i get in the first place is not the same. Like it skips from zooming....like before it was a 1:1 zoom but when it save or add models from other acad files boom it becomes. 1:5 sometimes just a couple of scrolls it give me the background color only. i can't see my model boom!... Dadgad Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) If you have a big file open and are saving it, be patient. Are you using REALISTIC visual style? Using 2D Wireframe should speed things up, if you are. The zooming problem you are describing sounds like you might be inserting imperial blocks into a metric drawing, or that there is a mismatch going on somewhere, likely a scaling one. What is your ISAVEPERCENT variable set to? Do you use ADAPTIVE DEGRADATION? Are you using Xrefs? Edited April 19, 2012 by Dadgad Quote
laranjo123 Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 I DON'T USE XREFS IT'S A DXF FILE WHEN REALISTIC IT HAS THOUSANDS OF FACES. yES I KNOW 2D WIREFRAME SPEED THINS UP. IMPERIAL BLOCKS?.. ISAVEPERCENT LOL ( BUT MINE WAS 50 ) I DON'T KNOW THAT EITHER ADAPTIVE DEGRADATION...iT'S A BIG FILE. I SCALED IT TO 1000 FROM 24 m TO 24000 m ..JUST TO MAKE THING BIGGER. BUT MY ADAPTIVE DEGRADATION WAS SET TO DEFAULT ONLY Quote
Dadgad Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 ISAVEPERCENT is used to finetune how long it takes to save and the maximum allowable percentage of wasted space in a drawing. If you set it to zero, your saved files will be nice and small, with no wasted space, but they will take longer to save, and automatically save more frequently than you would want. If you are working with ISAVEPERCENT at 50, that means that the file size can include a maximum of 50% percent wasted space. A potentially 1MB file (set at zero percent) could be as large as 1.5MB, due to the tolerance of 50%. There is a balance to be sought between file size and save times. When you have finished a drawing, after checking, purging, auditing it is a good ide to reset your ISAVEPERCENT variable to zero, which will yield you a nice compact file, without a lot of wasted space. ADAPTIVE DEGRADATION settings can be found on the SYSTEM tab in your OPTIONS, these are used to speed up your 3D performance, by prioritizing the most important display features, and telling the system not to waste system resources on features which you are not likely to be using. Why did you scale it up by 1000? Was it not originally drawn 1:1? Quote
laranjo123 Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Yah the original drawing was scaled to 1000. So i rescale the 3d to 1000:? Quote
