eryka91 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I have a new computer and I am running windows 7. Autocad tells me windows 7 is not compatible with my 2006 version. Is there a fix I can download. I am not in a postion to buy a later version autocad. Erka Australia Quote
Cad64 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Are you running the 64 bit version of Windows 7? Autocad 2006 is a 32 bit application, so that may be why you are receiving that message. There is no fix for you to download. Autodesk stopped supporting Autocad 2006 several years ago. Quote
Scott Moffit Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 You could try by upgrading to Windows 7 Professional, downloading virtual PC and XP mode, and then installing Autocad while in XP mode. Quote
ReMark Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I'll bet that even with the suggestions from Scott you'll find that the error message will not go away. Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I'll bet that even with the suggestions from Scott you'll find that the error message will not go away. Why? My installation of R14 went flawlessly using this approach. Quote
