1. Open a file that does not have the setting set to monochrome.

2. Type in "_pagesetup"

3. Click "Modify" button

4.  Click the "Plot style table (pen assignments)" edit button on acad.ctb (pencil icon on right)

5. With the first color (red) still highlighted use the vertical scroll bar to get to the bottom of the color list to color 255

6. hole the shift key and click "Color 255". All colors will be highlighted. if not try again.

7. Click the color button and change to black.

8. Click "Save & Close" button

Now all drawings using acad.ctb will print in monochrome.

What BIGAL said!

Destroying an installed Plot Style that's supposed to be the same for every user in the world doesn't make any sense.

We already have the monochrome.ctb Plot Style installed that's exactly what you needed already!

Using monochrome.ctb would allow every AutoCAD user on earth to plot your drawing the same as you without needing to customize anything.
