oddbob Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 (edited) Hi all, trying to get my friends Leica Disto D8 to work with AutoCAD 2010 but for some reason it wont transfer measurements via Bluetooth - (and yes, Bluetooth is switched-on on both devices and paired etc). Does anyone have the same combo of laser measure and AutoCAD who have set it up without issue? The survey equipment company who sold the Disto D8 to him are closed on a Saturday / Sunday so I can't get any help there until Monday morning and he wanted to use the weekend to get to grips with it all before going out on site. I have tried to follow the guide from the Leica website using the Disto Transfer software but without success Edited March 27, 2012 by oddbob Quote
nestly Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I have D8 and 2011-2012, but I don't use them together because I can't figure out how to transfer Disto Feet/inches to AutoCAD Architectural units. Metric or Decimal feet works fine. Pair the devices, start Disto Transfer PC, type LEICADISTO at the AutoCAD command line. Quote
oddbob Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 Pair the devices, start Disto Transfer PC, type LEICADISTO at the AutoCAD command line. seems to connect fine as before but wont send the measurements. We're now starting to think its the USB Bluetooth receiver as it was a cheap £10 job and my friend says it stopped working with his mobile phone but he thought that was something he had done. Quote
nestly Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 (edited) Does Leica Transfer PC start? Does it detect your Disto? Can you send measurements to Leica Transfer? You are pressing the Bluetooth button on your D8 to send each measurement, right? Edited March 17, 2012 by nestly Quote
oddbob Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Problem solved! - it was a dodgy USB Bluetooth receiver. We have swapped it out and now everything works fine and dandy. Quote
