Good to hear that you got it solved!

 

One suggestion, do not alter the configurations that come with AutoCAD (CTB files, linetype files and other); instead create your own versions. This way will ensure compatibility when share the drawings with someone else and can port your settings to other workstations or AutoCAD versions.

FYI - if you encounter a file using STB, any layer or object set to Plot Style 'normal' means that object or layer will plot according to its color. For this example if you had changed the layer to Style 1 then it would have plotted monochrome.
