hi, i have drawn a 3d pyramid 65 radius and 25 high, drawn a 30x30x15 block in the centre and where it breaks through the pyramid i wish to remove it... is there a subtraction/trim option to allow this?

thanks:)

Use the SUBTRACT command. You would do well to open your MODELING and SOLID EDITING toolbars, or palettes if using the ribbon, and explore the available functions there, and use the autocad HELP at button f1.

hi, thanks, i have done this but it seems to remove all the cube object, which acually is walls rather than leave the ''walls'' below the top of the pyramid and remove them from above, i have looked through the help but struggle to find anything relivant to removing only part of the ''walls/cube''

thanks again

here you can see the walls coming through the pyramid which i want to remove, i still wish to keep all the walls (below the surface of the pyramid) in tact and all of the surface of the pyramid

Correct. When you use SUBTRACT, you'll loose the entire object being subtracted. One solution is to copy the pyramid to the side temporarily and then move it back after SUBTRACTing the pyramid from the walls. INTERFERE or SLICE are some other options that may work.

* edit * after seeing the screenshot, I think INTERFERE is the likely the best option, just make sure you use the option to retain the "interference"
