Faouweb Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 What I'm looking for is the inverse of this: Upload to Source Quote

ReMark Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Without access to the Excel file I can't tell you what the problem might be. I have used the DATALINK and DATALINKUPDATE commands about a dozen times and have never had a problem with updating in either direction. Did you test this in a new drawing to see if it works? Quote
Faouweb Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Did you test this in a new drawing to see if it works? I'm trying now a new drawing and a new Excel file. I'll let you know Quote

ReMark Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Your test Excel file update in both directions for me. Did you save your test drawing before attempting a datalink update? Quote
Murph_map Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Your test Excel file update in both directions for me. Did you save your test drawing before attempting a datalink update? Not in the video he didn't. Aslo most times I have to close out the Excell file and reopen it to see the changes. (that's with Map3D) Quote
ReMark Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I did not have to close out then reopen the Excel file. After I changed it I did save it before running DATALINKUPDATE. Quote
Murph_map Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I did not have to close out then reopen the Excel file. After I changed it I did save it before running DATALINKUPDATE. That's why I add the "that's with Map3D" to the end Map CAN use another method to link to the excel files. Quote
Faouweb Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Did you save your test drawing before attempting a datalink update? yes I do. Look this picture maybe there is some thing wrong the path. Thank you for your patience:) and I'm sorry about all this questions Quote
Murph_map Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I did not see the save or a Qsave command in the video, and yes the path may be the problem if the folder "TEST" is not in the support / project paths in your options you may need to use the Full Path. Quote
