mohamedibu Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 can any one help how to hatch the edge boundry of the textso:) Quote
Dadgad Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) Are you looking to HATCH, or perhaps you really want to create (or remove, thanks Rob) a BACKGROUND MASK? Select the text with which you are working. Then in your right click shortcut menu select the MTEXT EDITOR > click on the OPTIONS ARROW which I have circled in red. Here you can either create or remove a background mask, in your choice of color and size. Edited February 10, 2012 by Dadgad Quote
RobDraw Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Either that or he wants to remove the background mask from the text. Quote
ptatohed Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 What I assumed he meant was how can he hatch across text which is within a boundary when hatching using the "Add: Pick Points" option. In other words, how can he obtain the second image in the pic below? Answer: After you select your boundaries by picking your point(s), use the "Remove Boundaries" option in the Hatch Dialogue box to select the text. (or erase the text and oops it back after you hatch) Quote
Dana W Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 What you do is, in the hatch editor, turn off island detection. BUT, that may get you a hatch that runs through other internal boundary lines. Quote

I had my "More Options" collapsed and forgot all about the Islands section of the Hatch dialogue box. Quote
