Launching ACAD programs within ACAD

Recommended Posts

I was on training the other day and noticed the lecturer used some program to launch autocad programs within the autocad application. Ie if you have a Suite for example.

Want to know what it was, or if anyone knows of any programs that do this, so i can clean up my desktop,

thanks

You can open other programs from within autocad, by setting up new shortcalls in your .pgp file. Click TOOLS > Customize > Edit Program Parameters. I believe you could do it this way, although there is no doubt another way to do it. I have notepad set to open with NN, so in the middle of a drawing it is easy for me to make a note, should I find an issue, which is saved to a folder on my desktop.

I like using a lisp with (startapp XXXX). Also the trainer may of been using the Alt-tab combo to cycle though apps already running.
