crosten2 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Hi Does anyone know where i can find the surface finish symbol in autocad 2009 ? I have been searching all day long for this symbol. Thank you Quote
ReMark Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 You may just have to create the symbol yourself if you cannot find a font that incorporates it as a special character. Quote
Ollie8974 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Like this draw the symbol and save it is a block. There are symbol standards in ASME Y14.36M I submitted this as a jpeg because I am a student using an AutoCAD Educational Product. when setting up your profile, set the gdt.shx font as default. All the lower case letters are symbols. Quote
ReMark Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I would not expect the OP to have a problem drawing the symbol and creating a block. Quote
jgbgod Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 There is a long list od GDT symbols within the mtext editor itself. Check out the top of your screen while you have the text editor open. You will see the @ symbol, click that and select other, then type in GDT. Quote
Tankman Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 The surface symbol is not included in GDT. Make a block or, does anyone know how (?), add it to the GDT symbols? Quote
SLW210 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I would create a block with attributes. The surface symbol is not included in GDT. Make a block or, does anyone know how (?), add it to the GDT symbols? Too add a Private Character: Select @ symbol in editor>Other>Select "Help" in Character Map> Quote
