Dadgad Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 You can uncheck DISPLAY BACKGROUND OF FIELDS in your OPTIONS, as shown in the attachment. If you have never looked at, or set them before you might want to look at the field update settings options. Quote

Dadgad Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Many Thanks Dadgad!!!!! And change is color it's possible? I don't believe that you can change the display COLOR of the field. Perhaps with Lisp you could, but I see no way to do it from the regular autocad commands and options. However, you can specify TEXT HIGHLIGHT COLOR, by clicking into a field and using the right click shortcut menu. After having done that, should you opt to CONVERT FIELD TO TEXT, also in the right click shortcut menu, then the assigned Text Highlight Color will become the fill color in the background of the text, but only during editing. The field will revert to transparent (colorless) when you finish the edit. If all you are looking for is a mask behind the contents, and it doesn't need to be a field, then try the EXPRESS tool TEXT MASK, where you could set numerous options, including color. Quote
