make a new layer for your viewports and set it not to plot, def points is not meant for this.

Is it a clipped viewport? If so, the polyline border may be on a frozen layer.

@Daniel, I know that, but i want to know why I cannot select viewports or any lines drawn on defpoints layer.

@ReMark&CyberAngel, the layer isn't frozen.

can you post the file so one of us can take a look at it for you?

Rename the Defpoints layer to something else like "Junk". Now, try to select an object on that layer. Does it work or not?

Thank you Remark, it works!

How can I make a layer like that one so I cannot select without changing the name?!

I know that but I don't understand why that error appears in defpoints layer.

It is not an error. You are using an "old" trick for putting objects on a layer that does not print. That is now considered to be a bad practice although some will argue otherwise.

Do you even know what the Defpoints layer is used for by AutoCAD? Do you know why it is created by AutoCAD in the first place?

My advice is STOP drawing on the defpoints layer. Do so at your own risk.
