OK - I figured out the problem - I'd been plotting for 8.5/11 but am printing A4 paper (thats what happens when you are american born but living in a country that uses the metric system, A4's, etc etc)

Also, I realized that if i'm drafting in cm, then my scale will be 1:5, not 1:50. Whew. You all have been incredibally helpful. Thank you so much!

Just tell the Brits they got it wrong and they need to change to imperial units. I'm sure that they'll see the error of their ways and convert. Yeah, right.:lol:
