Do anyone know the difference between Trim and Pline Boolean operation? I have made a demo about these. So what do you think it? Can you give me your advice?

I think trim would be faster to use in simple shapes using just tr order or trim.. can be much faster than turning the whole closed shapes into regions to treat them like a 3d object.. but in complex and big shapes region would be a good solution for fast production...

Hi, Mehiar, even for simple shapes, trim is still not faster than Pline Boolean operation. Becasue you don't need to turn the closed shapes into regions to conduct boolean operation by use of Pline Boolean operation.

Trim has been around for ages, where the pline boolean is fairly new. I would think that the pline boolean would be one step used in doing 3d modeling eliminating the need to use the join of pedit command afterwards to use any number of 3d commands on the objects. Example in your video, if you need to create that part in 3d, after the pline boolean its ready for extruding,push/pull, or a few other commands to add the Z vaules to the objects.

You are right, this function one step used in doing 3d modeling eliminating the need to use the join of pedit command afterwards to use any number of 3d commands on the objects.
