Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Hy everyone, I put a dimension in paper space to check the length of a line and after, i wanted to clear that dimension but it didn't dissapear. If I zoom out or zoom in the screen, the dimension still remains in the same place and it's not scalling. What can I do to clear that dimension? Sorry for my english but can somebody help me with this problem? Quote
ReMark Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 By "clear the dimension" I assume you wanted to erase it right? Are you sure the dimension is in your layout and not in model space? Is the dimension on a layer that is locked? Could the dimension be on the Defpoints layer by any chance? Quote
Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 1.I am sure that the dimension is in my layout. It does not appear in model space. 2.I've checked all the layers and all are unlocked. The dimension was created in layer 'Dimensions' which is also the current layer. 3.I created another dimension same way and it look as I expected. It's scalling when I zoom out or zoom in and I can erase it anytime. 4.More,I can't even select the 'problem dimension' and it seems to be stacked at my display whatever I do:zoom the window, pan the window, etc... 5.I created another layout with the Create Layout Wizard and all looks fine...The dimension no longer appear's but the problem still remains unsolved. I can't delete it from the first layout... Quote
Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Has somebody have the same problem in the past? Is there a solution for this problem? Quote
SLW210 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Can you post the file? Sounds like the dimension is in paperspace and you are in modelspace through a viewport. Quote
Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 I put two screenshots here... Quote
Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 As I said, the dimension marked whith red X it appears only in Layout F I - 1... Quote
ReMark Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Are your viewports on their own layer? Is that layer set to "no print"? Quote
SLW210 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Are you in paperspace or modelspace in Layout FI-1? Quote
Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Are your viewports on their own layer? Is that layer set to "no print"? My layers are common for all viewports. And in Create Layout Wizard,I set a printer installed on my computer as Default Printer. Quote
ReMark Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 You did not really answer either of my questions. Is there a specific layer (maybe you call it Viewports or Vports) that you place your viewports on? Yes or No? If yes, is the layer set not to print in the Layer Properties Manager? Yes or No? Quote
Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Are you in paperspace or modelspace in Layout FI-1? In Layout F I -1 I was in paper space and then i switched to model space,as shown in the first picture attached(), who is actually the second screenshot I made. Quote
Alex Moiceanu Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 This it's a screeshot of my layers... Quote
ReMark Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 You said you cannot select the dimension therefore you have no sure way of knowing what layer it is on. For all you know it could be on layer Defpoints. As I expected. WHAT LAYER DID YOU PUT THE VIEWPORTS ON? Quote
SLW210 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 In the Layout Tab FI-1, on the command line type _.PSPACE and then see if you can delete the dimension. Quote
