CousinIt Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Hi everyone. I'm working on the Structural Drafting project - plate 1 (foundation plan) for Penn Foster and am hung up a bit. I have the I Beams (drawn to exact specs) and footers in place, no problem there. But for the girders, etc., should they be presented to full spec - the girder is C12 x 45 (flange would be 8" wide.) I saw one example of this plan on the site and the girders compared to the i beams seem way off. The girders appear far too thin - just looks like a straight line. I have read a lot of posts regarding this project and perhaps I'm the only one that has experienced some confusion with this particular plate, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Quote
ReMark Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 You're familiar with the difference between a channel and a beam? Quote
