Ski Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I'm trying to warp text around the dia. of a circle. I have no clue. Any suggestions? Quote
Aardvark Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Decal if it is an image or emboss if you plan to type your own. Make sure if you are typing your text that you do not project lines as this will make it difficult to select your text. Quote
Ski Posted October 17, 2008 Author Posted October 17, 2008 K, I've already tried that prior to posting my question, any other suggestions? Quote
Aardvark Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 What have you tried? Both those options should work for how your question was phrased. Can you please better explain what you are trying to accomplish and post an image of what you are trying to do? Quote
Ski Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 I'm currently making metal labels, which have the company's name on them. A couple of the label tags are circles. So with that said, I'm trying to put text on the label, but warp it to the shape of the dia. of the the label. I don't know if that explains better. Now, I'm doing this in sketch mode. I have tried to do it out of sketch and I've also tried to bring the drawing into a title block and maybe try it there too. When I bring it into a title block the text doesn't show. So, that could be another possible problem I might have. Kind of strange, I made another tag prior to these others that I'm working on right now, that was rectangle and I didn't have to warp the text, and that text came in. But anyway the main issue at this time is trying to warp the text. Quote
Aardvark Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Okay I think I see where you are going now. I don't have the most current version of Inventor so I don't know if it has this feature or not but I do know that Charles Bliss has an addin that used to work here: http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/iCode/index.htm Look for the 3dText addin.
