if i want to put m (cube) is there is any way to put m^3 in autocad as it is in unit.how to get special characters in autocad....

One solution is to use +0178 (²), respectively +0179 (³) - however, this may not work on your station if your characters page is different than standard one.

Where to check for characters page? Good question. I have not done that since MSDos times...

Anyway, did you verified the above suggested key combinations on your workstation?

When using the Alt 0179 ³ in addition to the font make sure you are using the right side Numerical Keypad to enter the 0179 - not the top row of keys.

Windows Character Map can be accessed through Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools

What font are you using? Have you checked the character set?

How about MText > Symbol?

In the mtext editor dialog, click on the @ sign, that's the "Symbol" and special character list. Then just click on the word squared or the word cubed.

OR you can type into the mtext field \U+00B2 for superscript squared, or \U+00B3 for superscript cubed. AutoCAD will put in your superscript instead of the characters you typed much as it inserts the degree symbol when you type %%d.

Those are zeros, not "o". The letters have to be upper case, and the \ and the + have to be there, and it doesn't matter which row of number keys you use.

Or in Mtext, type a "^" after the 3, highlight the 3 and ^ and hit the Stack button.

The solutions from posts #2 (in addition with correction from #5), respectively from post #7 works too in single line text entities if were successful in MText.
