How to animate wrapping a fiber in to the pipe

Hi Guys,

 

I do have a query. I am trying to figure out how to wrap a fiber in to the pipe. The fiber is to protect the fire from damaging the pipes so, would like to animate how the pipe it is being protected.

 

Any help will be appreciated.
